I’d like to take a moment to thank everyone for their communication with my office throughout the legislative session. Your opinions are important to me and I look forward to continued feedback. I’d also like to update everyone on some of the activities I’ve been participating in since the end of session.
Last week I worked with ADVANCE Baton Rouge as a panelist on innovations in education. This panel was part of their principal program, Redesigning Lessons, Re-envisioning Principals. Here we were able to discuss what innovations are important to the education system in Baton Rouge, and what those innovations mean for the future.
I have also been taking some time to meet with some of our state’s leaders in higher education to discuss the best route for continued efforts on behalf of Louisiana’s students.
In addition, I’m happy to report that on Friday, July 10th, the Capital Region Legislative Delegation was able to present a Resolution honoring Coach Mainieri and the LSU Baseball team!
